Following her studies of costume and stage design (1989-1994) at the Academy of fine Arts Berlin Weissensee, she initially began working as a designer for theater and opera projects.
Her growing interest in the use of ‚real world` spaces and everyday objects as a basis for stylised compositions has since 2006 lead to the collaboration on film projects with auteurs such as those of Thomas Arslan („In the shadows“,“Gold“, „Bright nights“, „Scorched earth“), Angela Schanelec („I was at home, but…“), Julian Radlmaier („Bloodsuckers“ ) and Ulrich Köhler („Gavagai“).
In the field of fine arts Reinhild has designed sets for video artist Andreas Bunte (Skulptur Projekte Münster 2017) and curated a group exhibition with space-related objects together with artists Dinah Khouri and Arhun Arksakal (‘Alt- at Rote Insel’ Berlin, 2024).
Teaching includes seminars and lectures at Deutsche Film -und Fernsehakademie Berlin, UdK Berlin and ZHdK Zürich.
She is a member of the European Film Academy and lives in Berlin.
